I'm not campaign for Betterday but I wanna share about Betterday. Recently, I see so many people talking about being vegetarian and they wannabe a good vegetarian but they have no information about it. As an information, I have a friend who can give that info, yippie! Are you happy now? :-)

Betterday zine is an independent magazine about Vegan and Straight Edge lifestyle. Now, this independent magazine has a blog, so you can find it easily. This blog belongs to my friend who became a vegan about 8 or 10 years. My friend (he) likes to share about vegetarian an all the stuffs, and he always welcome for a beginner (who want to be a new vegetarian). I think it will be useful for you guys :-)

Betterday has a great and complete info, it's not only talk about vegetarian but also talk about feminism, health, earth issue, animal rights issue, Straight edge, music, gig, band profile (underground bands), and many more.

Unfortunately for you (international reader) maybe can't read it because this blog uses Bahasa :-( but I'll ask my friend to translate it in English :-)

History and Love Scattered at Flea Market

Why I give a title like that? Because I found this great art catalog :-) Actually this catalog belongs to my sister, I just borrowed from her.

Landing Soon #1, with the artist, Angki Purbandono. Angki had an idea when he saw these old photos at the flea market and he made it as his project. Such a great idea!! I really enjoy these old photos.

From the photos we can surmise a story, the kinds of stories we would not get from history books, because these stories arise from personal photos and family documentation. The habit of writing one or two sentences in the back of a photo sometimes provides information regarding the significance of a photo and its context.

For example, a picture of a young woman seated, reading a book. In the background are magazine hung neatly on the wall (below). On the back of the photo, it's written: "For Gusniar R. Looking good when quiet, I'll be waiting for you. Love, Isje."

Another example, a girl in close-up, also with writing on the back: "Message: Keep this picture. When you're already bored of it, burn it! Especially when you've come to hate the person."

Other "phrases of love" also found in the back of a photo of a man (below). He wrote: "I want free in love. Give me small smel for lonely again to you. Give believe to me. And free to chuse my partner. By: Agraria Boy." I wrote it in accordance with the writing on the photos and I don't really understand what he wrote :-)
